The IBM version has 2 separate Character sets, set by a switch ( # 8 in my case) the other switches are #1,2 language setting, #3 Auto linefeed, #4,5 Form Length, #6 skip over perforation, #7 IBM Character Set, #8 enable Front Panel. There is also a self test mode which will print a test pattern and version information, when you hold down the linefeed button while turning the printer on.
