First Looks: Athlon 64 FX-53: Added Velocity

Here's a riddle for you: How does a 2.4-GHz core CPU beat a
3.4-GHz CPU on major performance tests? Is it magic? Sleight
of hand? No, it's just AMD's high-end 64-bit CPU, the Athlon
64 FX-53, outperforming Intel's Pentium 4 Extreme Edition with
nary a bit of overclocking. We tested this amazing CPU in a
new Velocity Micro Vision FX PC and found it remarkable in
virtually every aspect. It even won our Editors' Choice award.
All that's left is for you to read the full review and Intel
to figure out just how 2.4 trumps 3.4.
