That's rite.
When someone says "I don't care- I have nothing to protect" is underestimating
the situation.
Many crackers wont do any damage; what their interested in is getting your
dialup username & pw then use *your* dialup account to exploit/further their
activities. Often with out your knowledge for quite some time. Keep in mind
here you're dealing with someone who *is* security conscience.
And yes... your username & dialup passwd is easily exportable from your
system.

With Linux experiencing its popularity and unknowing-users having virtually no
security- is providing a field day to those looking for
exploits.<understatement>

So... if you do get attacked (and find out about it) while you're reinstalling
make sure to get into your dialup shell account and change your pw their as
well, or you may want to have your isp do it and mail it to you, as a sniffer
is most likely installed in your shell. Also, you may want to be prepared to
explain to your isp (if they don't terminate your account from abuse) that "It
wasn't me....honest! I diddnt know security was MY responsibility"
Have fun!
