Hi all,

        I am using SuSE Linux 5.3 on a pentium 75 (Pentium F0 0F bug
workaround enabled) and 16 Megabytes of Ram (Toshiba Libretto 50CT
Laptop)...

I recently compiled a new Kernel to include sound support...
with dmesg I can see the Sound initialisation suceeded or
something like that.

The problem I'm getting is when I do something like cat ping.wav
> /dev/audio

a sound is generated but it seems to be part of some 'White
noise'

any hints, tips, experiences, Drinking songs...
