Since we're on the subject of Netscape crashing...

I was playing with Debian earlier in the month and used the glibc
version of 4.5, with mixed success. I experienced the same problems with
SuSE 5.3 (it supports glibc binaries, right?). The problem was my
Message Filters kept failing. The message mentioned something about a
"child" (there were a few more adjectives, but I can't recall them right
now.). I also completely lost my mail a couple times (a real bummer).

I switched back to the libc5 version and all is well. Until you are
satisfied that Netscape 4.5 (glibc) is behaving, I'd leave my mail on
the server and pop it off with fetchmail.
