  okay,
upon further research ( i RTFM ) what Stephan describes only works if you
had used the templates to copy an application to the desktop, what i had
originally done was just drag the executable file from kfm to the desktop,
which gave me the default "cog" icon.......
i think i have set up the netscape icon correctly but i'm wondering where
in the wordperfect program they hid the icon?
