[SuSE Linux] Kernel 2.2 and Penguin

Hi!

I compiled kernel 2.2 mainly to see the penguin
upon logon, but I see no penguin...

Seriously, I had other reasons for checking out
the 2.2 kernel, but I 'really' wanted to see
that penguin...

What did I do wrong?
