Hey man,

I just got a very similar problem on my 6.0 distribution. When it told me that
error, it still booted up. I then ran the following commands:
init S (or maybe it's "init s" instead...)
then I ran fsck.ext2.

It repaired my system fine, and then I ran init 3 to start back all of my
services.

I hope that helps,
Mike
