And another option is to try X-ISP, which automates dialup quite nice also.
This is a GUI app using XFORMS. Head to http://users.hol.gr/~dbouras/ & download the
latest,
edit the makefile as needed. (I'll be happy to send mine.),
make and make install. type XISP as su root and enter your ISP's info.
