Hmm, I doubt, that a virus is capable of blocking your CD-ROM drive.
Usually the drive is locked, when you mount a CD. After unmounting it, it
should be possible to open it. If not, you could try to use a CD player
like workman or kscd, most of them also offer an eject feature. There is
also a tool called "eject" on sunsite aka metalabs.
