Hi! I got some error-messages when booting my newly compiled 2.2.0 kernel. The message said something like: modprobe:canīt locate char-major-4. I looked in /etc/conf.modules and found a line like: "alias char-major-4 serial" I changed the line to: "alias char-major-4 off" This worked for me......... (Perhaps deleting the line would work to?)
