This is due to the monitor settings, unless you set the graphics card to the
exact same settings as in "that other OS" this will happen.

Either adjust the monitor to fit the picture on the screen, which can be a pain
if you are dual booting with windoze because you will have to adjust it back
then.

Or use xvidtune to adjust the settings, but be carefull too high refresh rates
can fry monitors - use at your own risk!
