What I need to compile and run kernel 2.2.1? SuSE 6.0?
At the moment I've a SuSE 5.3 with kernel (SuSE too) 2.0.36.
gcc is 2.7.2.1, lilo is 1.6a
The problem I have is booting new kernel: it hangs after the message:
<< uncompressing linux ..........ok now booting the kernel >>
The last time I compiled 2.2.1, it was configured 'very light', nothing
other basic things:
no sound, no SCSI, no network card, no strange fs (ntfs, vfat ...), CPU=386
(instead of my PII) etc.
Do someone knows anything?
