Hello all,

I am running SuSE 6.0 and kernel 2.2.1. When I start the machine, while
it's running the serial configuration it reports "modprobe: module
char-major-4 not found" interspersed with the normal setup lines for
ttyS{0,1,3} (which I have installed). When the machine shuts down, wall
reports an input/output error with ttyp1. (Others if there are other
ttyps open). XTerms work ok. Does anyone know what's going on?
