I asked about this last week, but haven't had any response, to wit:
: I've also noticed an error message in my logs that's only occurred
: since installing KDE 1.1:
: kdm[206]: can't execute "XBINDIR/xrdb" (err 2)
: Since man xrdb teels me that xrdb is responsible for setting various
: screen parameters for use by applications, I'm guessing that perhaps
: the two things might be connected. [1]
: The problem seems to be that $XBINDIR is an uninitialised variable on
: my system, but in what file should I be setting it?
[1] The second thing being that since updating to KDE 1.1 I cannot get
netscape to open its window fully within the desktop, it always opens
offset so that the rightmost and bottom edges are not visible until I
move or maximise the window.
Actually, I've since run xrdb manually and it hasn't made the slightest
difference to Netscape's behaviour. I still get the error message from
kdm in my syslog.
