Hi,

I'm running four of the boards with good success and satisfaction except for
the onboard SiS video. The video works with the new version of XFree but, not
as good as it should. If you check back through the list postings you'll find
that there have been numerous problems with it.

I also ran into a problem with one of the boards in combination with an AMD
K-6 266. It caused a kernel OOPS whenever it booted. I swapped out the
processor for a 233 K-6 and the problem disappeared. However, the 266
processor worked fine in another "newer" TX-Pro board. It was probably a bios
problem.

Another area of concern may be the onboard sound. I had it working on one of
the boards but, I later installed a AWE 64. So my experience is limited.

Personally, I can recommend the boards -- with the above caveats. I am
writing from one with the onboard video now. I am using it as an X server for
some diskless clients. But, if you want high quality graphics, add a high
quality card like the Diamond Viper 330 RIVA 128 or Diamond Viper 550 RIVA
TNT. These are cards I am using, other folks may recommend different cards.
There are many good ones. The things I like best about these boards is that
they are cheap and when you get ready to upgrade again you can setup the
onboard sound and video and sell them to the Windoze people. ;-)
