Well... Not really.

2.2.0-pre2 (I think) has been released.  If you follow the kernel mailing
list, there is still A LOT of discussion about what fixes need to be in
before it can be called '2.2.0', although it is proceeding down this path.
IMHO, it sounds like there's still a lot of work to be done.  I wish that
I had time to help out :-(.
