Hello once again fellow Linux users..........

I am becoming increasingly serious about Linux...... What I mean is that, after using
it now for 3 consecutive weeks, I see it as a viable alternative to Win95. To put it
in a nutshell......I am now considering using Linux as my primary OS. Of course I
will have 95 on another partition and will dual boot on some occasions........

Now......

I need MAJOR MAJOR help from anyone on a one 2 one basis. Since I am new to the Linux
Realm.....I want help on how to protect my system from the outside.

I want help on how to disable HTTP, NEWS, POP3 services, and remote login. I do
however want to keep FTP, because I need to share files with certain individuals.

So I would be EXTREMELY happy if someone contacted me on my real e-mail address
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and instruct me on how to make my system 'bulletproof'.

On another note......I want to thank all of you for being most excellent chaps!! All
of you are very amicable and very patient. I understand that some of us newbies
appear as totally dumb, but I promise you that it is only temporary :-)

Thanks in advance.

Zulfiqar Naushad.
