I downloaded and installed KDE 1.1 RPMs from the SuSE FTP site and now I
see that some of the utilties included with KDE no longer work because a
shared library is missing. If I try to run "ktop" I get the following
error message:

ktop: error in loading shared libraries
libkfm.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

The timestamp on "ktop" shows a date of January 20th, 1999 which seems
to indicate that it is an older utiltiy that's not included in the KDE
1.1 RPMs. All of the program files installed for the KDE bin directory
from the 1.1 RPMs have a timestamp of Feb 17th. This would tend to
indicate that those KDE programs with the Jan 20th timestamps or earlier
have been replaced or are no longer supported in KDE 1.1. Before
upgrading I was running the version of KDE that's included on the SuSE
6.0 CD set which I think was 1.0.
