I also get the same error message; however, I notice that if you try again
on the second (or sometimes third) attempt, kppp does work, for some
mysterious reason. However, after disconnecting, and reconnecting
afterwards, it fails once again. My options file does not contain 'lock' in
it; this seems to be a new bug.
