Hello,
I tried to modify my /etc/fstab file to make mounting my Iomega Zip
drive more straightforward, along the lines suggested in the Support
Database.
Since then, during the system boot and when I "mount /zip" I am getting
the following error message:
[mntent]: line0 in /etc/fstab is bad; rest of file ignored.
Mount /cdrom produces the same error message.
It is more of a nuisance than anything else 'cause the Zip and cdrom
drives mount correctly.
This is my /etc/fstab file, I added the line beginning /dev/hdd4.... I
don't think I changed anything else:
/dev/hda7 / ext2 defaults 1 1
/dev/hda10 /usr ext2 defaults 1 2
/dev/hda6 /wine vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 /winc vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/hda9 /home ext2 defaults 1 2
/dev/hda8 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 /wind vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/hdc /cdrom iso9660 ro,noauto,user 0 0
/dev/hdd4 /zip vfat rw,noauto,user,exec,umask=000 0
0
/dev/fd0 /floppy auto noauto,user 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# End of YaST-generated fstab lines
Can anyone suggest why this is happening? Please bear with me if this is
a trivial question, but this is only my 3rd week with Linux.
Thanks and regards,
Martin Drake
Luxembourg.
