First if you are just going to remove the second hard
drive from the machine, you don't need to reformat or
fdisk. Just remove it, and remove your bios setting for it.
You may need to make sure your cdrom has it's master-slave
jumper properly set after removing it.
You can use any fdisk to wipe it out. In dos, select
the "drive2" after starting, and just "delete non-dos
partitions".
In linux, "fdisk /dev/hdb " and delete the partitions.
