I 'm using SAMBA in a linux SERVER (suse 5.3) , and having some
problems with the velocity of execution of a program DOS from a win95
client (TCP/IP protocol) .
Checking the NET with "PING" the time for a packet of 64 bytes is 0.5
ms from any terminal .

which implicates a net velocity of 600 Kb/s

Question?
Is there , a protocol , for example IPX/SPX of NOVELL NET faster than
others ????

How can I improve the perfomance of my NET with linux and samba , or
must I install other SERVER
software with other protocoll ???

Thanks for your answers , and have a good new year.............
