I have the "Creative SB 16 ISA" and it works fine on my SuSE 5.3 system. I had an
SB32 at work and have just got a new machine there with a Yamaha 64 onboard card.
Unless you want to play midi files you should notice little or no difference between a
16, 32 and 64 sound card. Given your requirements I would be inclined to go for the
cheaper SB compatible.
