There is a better perl interface called Net::LDAP (written by Graham Barr) I
believe. It does not require you to build against any particular ldap libs
which means you can start off with Netscape Directory Server or an old UMICH
LDAP and then move to OpenLDAP if you wish. You can find it on CPAN.
