Unless you get PM4, the only simple way to do it would be to
copy your entire linux system over to another unused partition,
or tape. Then use fdisk to remake the size of your linux partition.
Then copy everything back.

Of course, this is assuming you have the free hard drive space to do
this.

The linux utilities "dump" and "restore" might may the job a little
easier.
I think the "dump/restore" mrthod might also defrag your ext2 partition
as an added benefit.

There are probably other ways, maybe someone knows how to get your
resize2fs program going.
