Another way is to just add "suid' to the floppy line of your /etc/fstab file.
It would look like this:
/dev/fd0 /floppy vfat noauto,rw,user,exec,suid 0 0
yes, one has to ensure they don't have a problem with the suid, but if you
don't, then it works well.
