How can I change the background color in Xemacs? I have a white (very white)
background and I want to change it into a less aggressive color, let's say a
gray80.
I put
Emacs.default.attributeBackground: gray80 into ~.Xdefault
local emacs background: grey80
both with no success.
I read a part of the emacs-docs, but still I have a white background. Boh?

Suggestions?

TIA

Maurizio
