I tried to do the same, but after applying pine4.02.dif I
received a lot of ncurses or termcap related error messages when
compiling. I think with SuSE 6.0 a new ncurses version was
introduced, this could explain the errors.
But it worked perfectly to patch the clean sources (i. e. no
suse patch applied) with the colour patch and build pine with
./build slx. No *.rej files.
