You seem to be having problems loading the modules. Have forgotten to do
'make modules; make modules_install' after you built the zImage? Make
sure that they install in /lib/modules/2.2.5.

If they don't work still, try building some of the troubling modules
into the kernel. You can then try to fix one at the time.
