I recently purchased and installed official version of SuSE-6.0 on my home desktop. It worked out just fine. However I notived that SuSE-6.0 comes with a "patch" program version-2.1 which is obsolete. "patch" version-2.5 was released in 1997 and has been in wide use ever since. For the folks like me who develop on Linux it is important to have up-to-date development tools. RedHat-5.2 includes patch-2.5 (the new one). Why did SuSE include old patch-2.1 ??? thanks, --Leo -- To get out of this list, please send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ and the archive at http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html
