I recently purchased and installed official version of SuSE-6.0 on my home
desktop. It worked out just fine.
However I notived that SuSE-6.0 comes with a "patch" program version-2.1 which
is obsolete. "patch" version-2.5 was released in 1997 and has been in wide use
ever since. For the folks like me who develop on Linux it is important to have
up-to-date development tools. RedHat-5.2 includes patch-2.5 (the new one). Why
did SuSE include old patch-2.1 ???

thanks,
