Hi,

I know how you feel, I had the same problem. I found out that, for some
reason susewm.kwm does not get a proper time stamp during the
installation.
So all you have to do is:

touch /var/lib/susewm/susewm.kwm

and the next time you install/deinstall some package with Yast, the KDE
menu
entries will be properly initialized. Probably /sbin/SuSEconfig can be
forced to do this without (de)installing something, but I have not tried
this.
