U have to recompile the vmmon kernel module. After unpacking the vmware
tar inside
vmware-distrib (or similar i can't check right now) there is a file called
vmmon.tar (again going from memory) unpack it, go inside the directory it
creates
and then issue make to compile it. Now u have a module, either insert it
from
here, or copy it to /lib/modules/2.0.35/misc with the name vmmon and then
issue
"insmod vmmon" (as root) to install the module. This will work.
If u wish network support u have to do the same for the vmmnet module.
