Hi all.

I'm having some trouble with a 7.3 installation freezing up on
certain types of network connections. It's a vanilla 7.3 install on
an ultra5. There are two network cards, a 1-port and a 4-port hme,
and both have been configured in various ways to do some NAT. The
lockups seem to occur primarily on tcp traffic. I can ping IPs and
addresses, but when I try something like lynx or mozilla access to a
site, the box locks up.

This is newer behavior, up until a week ago, everything worked fine.
I've primarily been tweaking firewall rules and ip configuration, but
I didn't think any of that could cause a lockup. Are there any known
issues with multiple IPs/devices, firewalls, and NAT on linux/sparc?
I tried a newer 2.4.18 kernel, but am new to sparc and can't get past
a 'VFS: mounted root fs (ext2) read-only' prompt. Any ideas about all
this would be great.

Thanks
Jeff
