I had similar problem on my sparc 20. Had to remove all partitions except the "whole disk" partition. Commit that configuration. Exit setup and reboot, then boot setup again and repartition how you would like it.
You don't want to remove the "whole disk" partition because I believe it contains the SUN disk label (?). If you do that, you have to use fdisk manually to create a new one (ctrl-alt-F2 or F3 to another console during setup and type fdisk /dev/sda or fdisk /dev/sdb) ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 7:04 AM Subject: [suse-sparc] Suse 7.3 on SunSparc 20 > hi there, > i downloaded the 5 Cd's from the Suse server, and i can start the boot disk > ok. > > but i have problems with partitioning..... > > There seems to be a Solaris Partition on both 1GB Harddisks, which i cannot > remove with Suse 7.3 installer.
