IIRC from about 2.4.19-pre3 should work.  Before that i had 373 days 
uptime on 2.4.2-pre3, but that was a little flakey, the machine would 
lookup solid for ~30 secs randomly when doing IO on the software raid, 
and towards the end processes placing a heavy load would randomly die 
with odd errors. In comparison 2.4.19-pre7 is running 100% stable, no 
complaints, no freezing, no dead processes.
