I have a 2.25R boot prom in a Sparc10 with a 40Mhz CPU attached to Mbus slot 0. I'm running kernel 2.4.19 without SMP support configured.
I purchased a ROSS Dual 125Mhz for it but it only fits in the Mbus slot 1 (different pinning) and can piggy back over the CPU module in Mbus slot 0. When I boot with both modules installed nothing happens. When I boot with the Ross only in slot 1 nothing happens. The Ross manual claims that the Mbus slot 0 cannot be empty but somewhere else it is said the CPU modules in the different slots must be same. There's only one jumper to be set on the board, which is OK. I'm sure I don't need to rebuild the kernel for SMP support as I should at least get the initial boot hardware detection messages. Any hints ? Thanks Eivan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
