After testing, I've found this: I've got a Sparc 20 with two processors currently running 2.4.20pre-1, but with no smp support.
In a previous message, I've pasted the errors that I get when trying to compile with smp support. I've installed all the new binaries that Thorsten has be gracious enough to supply us with. (Thank you Thorsten) I've again tried to compile the supplied kernel source with the same results. I then installed the k_smp kernel, and when I boot it, after uncompressing the kernel, it get a Data Access Exception error then it drops be back to the OK prompt. Has there been anyone out there that has gotten a smp kernel to compile and boot for a smp sparc 20?
