Does it mean you managed to disable DMA only for /dev/cdrom ? How did you do that ? For the moment my Blade 100 is run with no DMA for any IDE device because the DVD drive seems to dislike it (you have probably the same problem ?). Thanks in advance. I would be happy about any feedback, on which machines it works and on which not. reiserfs, jfs, ext3 and xfs are supported on 32bit and 64bit SPARC. I know that jfs makes some assumptions which fails on sparc64, so expect big problems here. New filesystem utilities for reiserfs/jfs/xfs/ext3 will follow the next hours.
