I ran into this problem, finally found this in the archives. I also found the only server that has the updates (The first one I tried that had them, anyway!) was ftp.gwdg.de. I hope this helps someone else to try SuSE. It's the best distro that I've found yet!

Now I'm trying to use the curses version of yast2 to load all the updates. Problem is after connecting to the ftp server (getting patch descriptions or something similar) I get a "File not found on server" error. I've tried modifying the pathname (/pub/sparc/7.3/etc....) to match what I see there but to no avail. I suppose I could do these by hand as well using rpm oder? It would be good for me as I need the practice with package management, but I didn't want to start practising today! ;-) -K -- Kevin Pfeiffer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - www.iu-bremen.de Online Editorial Services - International University Bremen "The rule still applies.
