Hi Sven,

Congrats with installing S9 on your SS10!
Yes, with the sun-software your capable of using the bri-interface on those
machines.
But two points (to spoil your good mood ;-))
1) you can not run ip-tables
2) I was told that for running S9, you need (at least) an ultra 5, (unless
you are either a civel servent or a massochist)
Theoretically it is said that you can run S9 on 32-bits machines, but you
can do nothing else anymore.
(Note that above statement is from a person working at Sun, who said that a
lot of colleges had SS10 and Ss20 at home running Debian, not solaris....)

So i wonder what the sytem load in idle mode is....

Kind regards, Hans

Hello Hans

thanx for the (bad) info. ;-)

Yesterday evening i installed on the second harddisk in the ss10 (running
Solaris 9) the SUNisdn 1.0.4 package.
30 minutes later i had a connection to my provider ;-)

Now i don't know, if i should replace my Linux-Isdn-Firewall-PC (running on
a
P90) ? :-(

regards
Sven
