Dear listmember,
the next question is not sun - specific, but maybe someone has a good answer
to it. I have an USV connected to our sun server. When power is
disconnected, the shutdown process starts after 30 s. If the network is
still alive, everything is fine, the shutdown is fast and effective.
However, disconnecting the network the shutdown hangs when trying to finish
nfs (/etc/init.d/nfsserver stop). The problem arises from /usr/sbin/exportfs
not finding the computers the connections had been exported to. The UPS is
not capable to wait several minutes for each nfs interconnect to timeout.
Anybody having any clue on how to force this to end? I haven't seen an
apropriate option in the exportfs manpage!
