Hi all, I've been using an SS20 for quite some time now as ny mail server, But last week, it froze, (after an uptime of more than a year), and i can't revive it any more.
My first impression was, that i stretched the psu to heavy: SMP (50MHz + 75MHz) 448MB mem 4MB VSIMM 2GB + 4GB scsi + CDROM SCSI/LAN 10Mb SCSI/LAN 100Mb 1) swapped the PSU with one from at work, no show 2) removed all the sbus boards, no show 3) removed all mem and installed 128 MB from other SS20, no show 4) first swapped, then removed second CPU, no show 5) swapped CPU from other SS20, no show 6) gathered all the removed parts, and put that in an other machine, no problem As i do not even get the open boot prompt, my assupmtion is that it should be something on the main board. After vpower up, i hear the disks spinning up, buteven the little green light on top right corner of the box stays out. I thought that if the NVram expired, you should be able to get into the OBP, and see funny things like mac-address set to ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff but i can even get that.... Suggestions?
