If it's SMP, it won't do even a bit well with kernel 2.4. And 2.6 work is on the way, but it will take quite a while.

If everything
works OK I'll probably stick with Suse since not sure I want to take
the time to learn the "debian way" even though I'm sure its very good.

BTW, are there enou'f of you guys who would really like to use SuSE on sparcs? If yes, then why don't you guys start a more current SuSE port for sparc as the guys from Aurora (RH) and the guys from Splack (Slackware) have done?
