I was trying to install SUSE-Linux 7.3 on my Sun Sparc Classic, which is
connected to a scsi-cdrom.
Everything works fine, but the ethernet doesn't. So I tried to make the
net-test during the system startup and the answer is:

With a connection to a hub/router via a "standard" network cable, the
external loopback (TPE) fails.
With a connection to my laptop via a crossover network cable, the
external loopback (TPE) succeeds.

And this is the same with my Linux. I can login over ssh with a
connection over my laptop but, with the router connection the system
always tries to switch between TPE an AUI. Are there any possible
solutions for this problem?
