Hi Pierre,

No, for the near future it doesn't feel good for sparc-platfrom.
There won't be a sles/prof/open release-10 version.
I raised the topic when i was with SuSE at Nurnberg.
Like the port for HP-PA, it is something like an hobby-project done by
one or two people internally. So they can not spent any time or money on
it. Currently they lack enough (decent) SUN hardware. What they have,
runs Solaris and is permanent needed for NFS-compatibility tests.

This february, at FOSDEM, when the open-suse team presented officially
the build-farm, I asked it again. Even if the people at SuSE can not
spent time on it, why not make it another opensuse project????
Again they declined.

It seems with the icecream-package, one can do cross-compile jobs, but i
have not found anybody who has experiemented with it.

Currently, for sparc, i would reccommend the latest iso's from:
http://auroralinux.org/

For PC, this is the wrong forum, but SuSE is alive and kicking...
prof-10.1 and sles-10 will be released shortly.

Hans
