When the suspend fails, it hangs. There's no way I see to recover at that point. Only a reboot helps. Then after reboot when I boot into the system, I don't see the anything related to suspend into dmesg files. All that is relevant to suspend can only be found in syslog. And I've already send those messages to you. On a fresh boot (after the suspend hung the box), this is what dmesg has: Linux version 2.6.20-custom-skas3-v8.2 (2.6.20-2) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Apr 21 01:46:48 IST 2007 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: sanitize start sanitize end copy_e820_map() start: 0000000000000000 size: 000000000009f000 end: 000000000009f000 type: 1 copy_e820_map() type is E820_RAM copy_e820_map() start: 000000000009f000 size: 0000000000001000 end: 00000000000a0000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 0000000000100000 size: 000000007fd93400 end: 000000007fe93400 type: 1 copy_e820_map() type is E820_RAM copy_e820_map() start: 000000007fe93400 size: 000000000016cc00 end: 0000000080000000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000f0000000 size: 0000000004007000 end: 00000000f4007000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000f4008000 size: 0000000000004000 end: 00000000f400c000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000fec00000 size: 0000000000010000 end: 00000000fec10000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000fed20000 size: 0000000000080000 end: 00000000feda0000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000fee00000 size: 0000000000010000 end: 00000000fee10000 type: 2 copy_e820_map() start: 00000000ffb00000 size: 0000000000500000 end: 0000000100000000 type: 2 BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009f000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009f000 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 000000007fe93400 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000007fe93400 - 0000000080000000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000f0000000 - 00000000f4007000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000f4008000 - 00000000f400c000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000fec00000 - 00000000fec10000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000fed20000 - 00000000feda0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000fee00000 - 00000000fee10000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000ffb00000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) 1150MB HIGHMEM available. 896MB LOWMEM available.
