Hi, I can get s2ram to work from init=/bin/bash, but when I boot the full OS and log in (on a text virtual terminal), the system will not suspend:
s2ram -f -a 1 I tried many of the possibilities listed on http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram but none seemed to work (except perhaps with init=/bin/bash): s2ram -f s2ram -f -a 1 s2ram -f -a 2 s2ram -f -a 3 s2ram -f -p -m s2ram -f -p -s s2ram -f -m s2ram -f -s s2ram -f -p s2ram -f -a 1 -m s2ram -f -a 1 -s s2ram -f -a 1 -p s2ram -f -a 1 -p -v Here is the info for my system (s2ram -i): This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Hewlett-Packard" sys_product = "Pavilion ZV6100 (PN494AV) " sys_version = "F.1B" bios_version = "F.1B" The sticker on the case actually says "HP Pavilion zv6000" and it has a Radeon XPRESS 200M graphics chipset. Here is my "uname -a": Linux ubergoober 2.6.22-7-generic #1 SMP Mon Jun 25 17:33:14 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux My OS is Ubuntu (running the Gutsy development tree). Do you need some more information or can you suggest something I should look at or investigate? I just need some more hints :-( Thanks, David ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
