Look. I really appreciate your help, but clearly we did it for a reason, and I doubt if anyone will use any other compiler than the gcc to compile this package, ever. If you think that it should be removed, then do so, but _please_ _make_ _sure_ that _nothing_ will break as a result (ie. add all of the necessary definitions instead of it etc.).
