Sure you don't.
I referred the symmetric decryption...
This can be done using gpg or any other external decryption software.

Something like:
resume --get-key-meterial | gpg --decrypt | resume

When you separate the decryption of symmetric key from resume, you can
sore the private key on external USB storage, smartcard or any other
device.

But best is to keep encrypted swap and just not worry about suspend/resume :)
